4.) Media Technologies - Television / Digital Recording

The final topic of media technology is digital recording and television. The world is made up of 24 hour news cycles which allows information to be shared quickly and on a wide scale manner. Many individuals still use television as their most relied upon means of gaining information. Broadcasters use television as a means to send a desired message to a large group of viewers.

Television is at the heart of most media vehicles.  It is the mechanism used to send information on a broad scale that will reach to most diverse audience.  Although this technology has been around for generations, the methods by which it is delivered have become more advanced.

The inception of digital recording changed the quality of broadcasting.  Digital recording delivers a high quality product that can be used for audio or video.  It captures information clearly and concisely in order to be shared electronically.  This product has drastically changed the way that people watch television.

Digital recording is much more clear and realistic.  Additionally, it offers consumers the ability to record a program digitally and watch at a later time.  It can also be used to pause live television and resume the program when the viewer is ready.  The recording option as well as the quality of the product has made a large impact on media technology.  The audio and video product is so much better that the information being shared is direct, clear and hard to refute.  It is certainly a large factor in media technology.
